Antoinette Gentile

Antoinette Gentile is a proud Wollithiga woman of the Yorta Yorta Nations and is the Chief Executive Officer at Boorndawan Willam Aboriginal Healing Service.

She brings almost three decades of executive and leadership experience across the Victorian Government and Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation sectors. She is widely respected for her deep commitment to self-determination and Aboriginal community-led governance, and for her strong record of driving systemic reform and social justice outcomes for Aboriginal people in Victoria.

Most recently, Antoinette served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Djirra, where she provided strategic leadership across policy, advocacy, and community engagement. Prior to this, she held senior executive roles in the Department of Justice and Community Safety and the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, leading major initiatives including the development and launch of the Victorian Aboriginal Justice Agreement – Burra Lotjpa Dunguludja (Senior Leaders Talking Strong in Yorta Yorta language) in 2018.

Throughout her career, Antoinette has demonstrated exceptional leadership in advancing self-determination, building enduring partnerships between government and Aboriginal communities, and creating culturally safe, impactful services that respond to the needs of Aboriginal families.
