Introduction to The Orange Door Initiative

The Victorian Government, in its commitment to addressing family violence, has endorsed The Orange Door. This initiative is a direct response to the 227 recommendations of the Royal Commission into Family Violence and aligns with the vision of the Roadmap for Reform: Strong families, Safe children.

The Transformative Approach

The Orange Door represents a groundbreaking approach to supporting women, children, families, and men. By integrating various workforces and practices, it aims to change the way we offer support fundamentally.

Integrated Teams and Services

The Orange Door team is a blend of professionals from local Community Service Organisations, Family Safety Victoria, and DFFH. This Matrix Management approach ensures seamless collaboration. The services offered include:

Leading Aboriginal Services

We take pride in spearheading the Aboriginal Services at The Orange Door. Our dedicated team is stationed in both the inner eastern metropolitan and outer eastern metropolitan sites of The Orange Door.

Our primary goal is to offer culturally sensitive and effective support to the Aboriginal community. We ensure that their needs are addressed with understanding, respect, and expertise.
