A Journey of Healing

The Children and Youth Programs Team create spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people who have been affected by family violence to engage with each other in a culturally safe space and explore their healing journey.

Koorie Kids Are Deadly Kids

The Koorie Kids are Deadly Kids program aims to empower children and young people to be able to identify and manage their feelings constructively and to become more emotionally skilled and aware. The program team encourages the young people to communicate more effectively with parents and family, to gain confidence,  have fun, make friends, be happier at home and school, and to learn, grow and develop.

  • Age: Under 18
  • Duration/ Frequency: 12 Sessions Run Whole Year
  • Participants expected: 15 kids - 10 Adult
  • Eligibility: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family
