Men’s Case Management

Embracing ancestral wisdom, the Aboriginal Men’s Case Management offers culturally attuned, holistic support to empower Indigenous men to make changes in their and their familie’s lives.

Integrated Child & Family Services

Promotes healthy families including safety from violence and children’s development, by working collaboratively with Aboriginal families and Communities. Providing effective and inclusive case management and working with families to build capacity and resilience.  

Intensive Case Management

The Intensive Case Managers work with women and children who have been impacted by family violence providing case coordination. Using a strengths-based approach, they work with women and children and build needs and risk assessments and create case plans that respond to these.

Alcohol and Other Drugs Support Services

The AOD team provides comprehensive strength based responses to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members who are experiencing Alcohol or other drug challenges.

Therapeutic Program

The therapeutic programs team create therapeutic responses to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, women, youth and families by creating safe group settings to explore connection to each other, community, cultural experiences and enjoyment.

Counselling

BWAHS provides safe spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community members to engage in counseling. Specialized counseling services include: men’s, women’s, children’s and youth counseling.

Intake Assessment

The intake assessment is a thorough process of gathering information about an individual or family experiencing family violence, to understand their needs, determine appropriate services, and develop a personalized support plan.

Receive Service

Receiving services from a family violence agency involves accessing comprehensive support, including counseling, safety planning, legal assistance, and resources tailored to address the effects of family violence, promoting safety, healing, and empowerment.

BWAHS works with Community members who are have been affected by family violence and who live in the outer and inner Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
